Dax's First Memory Verse

We ordered a children's memory verse card set recommended in our MOPS group. We received them a few days ago and started working on our first verse. The cards are great.

MOPS Fundraiser

Dax

Dax (like most children) constantly says things that we as adults just find funny coming out of a toddler's mouth.

Dax, what are you doing?! I ask as he throws himself on the floor while I'm trying to change his clothes. He innocently looks up at me and says. "I'm testing you!"

Last night Dax is jumping around in his bed. I ask him to stop and he tells me, "I'm stalling."

Our Zoo Trip

On our way to the zoo we discussed which animals Dax wanted to see there. He sais he'd like to see Spiders, Bats, and Bears. We only saw the Bats.
It's amazing to see the world through your child's eyes. Everything is new and interesting.

Dax decided he wanted to see a tiger. I pulled out the map to locate it and Dax decided to navigate. We found the tiger. He took a swim in his pond and Dax noted to me that he didn't get his hair wet. Dax still screams when we wash his hair. He was obviously relating to the tiger here.

Dax is 2 1/2 Today!

We went for rainbow sherbet at Baskin Robbins to celebrate. We all split a kids scoop as we are limiting Dax's sugar.

Bluebonnets

Our sweet friend, Amanda took some pictures of the kids and I this week. She found a great patch near her house (So no near death side of the freeway pictures for us - wohoo!) Here are a few of my favorites. I really like the first and last. Dax's hair was uncooperative as usual. We need to figure out a new do for him. Poor child now squints just like mommy when he smiles, so he's squinting in most of his pictures.

A flower for you mommy!

So Dax excitedly runs across the field to the fence telling me he's bring me a flower. He had to get on the other side of the fence to get to me and in the middle of trying to get through the fence Dax was distracted and threw my flower on the ground to go back to the field! So much for my flower!
