Dax makes me laugh:) - its not quite as funny with out all the inflections.

"Calleigh was touching the bag, and ALL OF A SUDDEN, I grabbed it away from her!" (In response to my question of why Calleigh was crying in the back seat.)

"Don't touch my underwear, Calleigh. That's not a good idea."

"Don't say mad things mommy."

"We're on a big earth, mommy. Its a big ball."

"WHAT! Not one! Twoooo." (Something sweet and unhealthy)

"I like being with you Mommy." with a big grin:)

"MATT! I'm so happy to see you." (Daddy returning from a trip.)

"I'm hiding from my baaaath." (As he's balled up under his covers in bed)

A Spiral of Spills

1 Dax: starbucks ice water on car floorboard
2 Dax: pee in carseat(we didn't get home in time -1st time since potty training)
3 Blame Mommy or the brilliant worker at Home Depot: paint on passenger seat of car (yep, our 8 month old car)because the guy at Home Depot gave us an open can of paint!
4 Dax: mini cup of powdered sugar down Dax's pants and and mine and the floor at IHOP where we were forced to eat lunch b/c we were waiting on the car to be shampooed
5 Dax: cup of milk on the counter of the carwash checkout
6 Dax: mommy's juice on the bathroom counter while Dax was throwing a fit b/c he had to get his hair washed b/c we all smelled like IHOP

all before 1:30
we are never leaving the house again!
Last night Dax told me "I want to stay home forever"
I should have listened

Calleigh - 8 Months

Calleigh has started babbling. She can now say baba, bada, and mama.

She is so close to crawling. She can move all four limbs once then falls. I think she'll have it by next month. (I may have said that last month when she was moving her arms and one foot before falling.) She tries all the time. She gets to whatever she wants including Dax's toys. Dax is not great at sharing, but he's not horrible. He takes away whatever toy Calleigh has chosen and gives her a less desirable (at the moment) toy in its place. We are working on it.

She is such a happy baby (as long as mommy is close by:). We are working on that. Emily successfully took her today for 2 hours with no crying - yay! She has something against the church nursery - we've only made it through one hour for weeks now. My girl loves her mommy!

Calleigh will eat jar food as long as its carrots or sweet potatoes. Otherwise its finger food. Not big on the fruit, so we are doing freeze dried bananas, apples, & pineapples which seem to be working. She LOVES rice and apparently spagetti - she literally shovels these in. Of course bread and cheerios are staples as well.
